  • I have recently compared this Klimt reissue to both the 1971 Japanese and Germany pressings, and I thought it was superior. It brought forward more of the details in Birdman, whereas those same instrumental details were buried in the two 1971 pressings. But let me say this, nothing beats my USA white label promo - including the original UK pressing. The clarity and detail of every instrument is astonishing and upfront on the WLP I own. As a result of these audio shoot-outs, I have only kept the US WLP and Klimt reissue. I still find it very hard to believe that these Klimt reissues performed as well as they did. The Klimt vinyl was also very quite - which is very important on this record.
